POLYTONE®

Urea Aldehyde Resin

About POLYTONE® UA -Series

POLYTONE® UA Series Aldehyde resins are pale, yellowing-resistant aldehyde resins that is soluble in almost all paint solvents and compatible with practically all coatings raw materials. Its main uses are combination with other resin binders and the production of all-purpose pigment.

Because of its excellent solubility and compatibility, POLYTONE® UA Series can be used in many types of coating formulations. Depending on the application, it improves gloss, hardness, body adhesion and resistance to yellowing. POLYTONE® UA 810 is very heat stable and can be used in baking finishes, neither causing odor nor discoloration Its used in combination with other resin binders to improve its properties and production of all-purpose pigment paste.

POLYTONE® UA 101 is not soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and therefore is suitable for coatings resistant to mineral oil. Because of its relatively low solvent retention, it only leads to a slight increase of the drying time of physically drying finishes (e.g., cellulose nitrate). It’s used in combination with other resin binders to improve its properties and production of all-purpose pigment paste.
